Tick one item off your bucket list, travel the country from Lands’ End to John O’Groats.

As we get older and our children move away from home to become independent adults, ready to start their own families, the older generation start to think more about what we want to accomplish before we pass away and it’s too late!  The idea of creating a Bucket List has become more and more popular and ticking at least one item off your list could be the beginning of an amazing journey. One of the most popular Bucket List items is to travel around the country.  Maybe even from Lands’ End in Cornwall to John O’Groats in Scotland?  Starting at the most southerly point of the United Kingdom, Cornwall is a spectacular place to start your big adventure.  With its rugged coastline, sparkling blue seas, golden beaches, quaint villages, and Cornish pasties, of course!   Cornwall also has a history of pirates and lost treasure troves for you to explore and maybe find?

If you do decide to travel the country having finances in place to allow you to confidently complete your adventure is key. Lots of couples decide to downsize to a smaller property to release equity in their current property.  This way you have money to travel and a home to come back to when you have finished your journey.  Pack up your most valued possessions and put them safely in Self Storage Dudley where you know all your worldly goods will be safe and secure. From Cornwall travel on into Devon where a multitude of sandy coves, crystal blue seas, thatched cottages and cream teas await you of course!  Continuing northwards, Wiltshire, Somerset and Gloucestershire would be next on your travel agenda. Three great counties incorporating some stunning countryside and areas of natural outstanding beauty. Worcestershire and The West Midlands are next, including dropping in on Dudley town itself to check on all your valuables.

Travelling on to the Yorkshire Dales and then the incredible Lake district in Cumbria, you will see rugged, rolling hills and a patchwork quilt of green fields before witnessing the glistening blue of the many iconic lakes.  Taking your time to participate first hand in the true splendour of the magnificent countryside.  Lastly, the final leg of your journey takes in the true majesty of Scotland, the castles, mountains and cities that truly reflect this most magnificent of countries.
