Struggling to sell?

When you take the plunge and put your home on the market, you might feel a mixture of excitement and apprehension, hoping for non-stop viewings and a quick offer. However, the reality can often be somewhat different. If it’s been on the market for a while and viewings are few and far between, what could the issue?

  • Wrong time

It could be that your home went on the market just at the wrong time. The majority of older people plan to move in summer, whilst young families often opt for an autumn or spring move. Did you launch at the right time for you but not your potential buyers?

  • Do you have the right estate agent?

If, for any reason, you didn’t hit it off with your agent or they don’t think much of your property, they might not be doing all they can to promote it. If something feels off, then find a motivated agent who you can work proactively with. For more information on Estate Agents Cheltenham, visit a site like Me and You Estate Agents

  • Poor images

Try to view the photos of your property objectively where they appear online. Are the photos perhaps not showing your property in its best light? Remember these are the first images buyers will see and if they are unflattering in any way, it might be time for a reshoot.

  • Asking price

Did the property go on at too high a price? Perhaps you were encouraged by an overly enthusiastic agent? Getting this wrong will ultimately be off-putting to buyers. Get it right from the start and you will be seeing those viewings and offers.
